		<description>I agree about running contests in order to generate both traffic and a lot of comments. The problem with contests is to get the money to run them.

Usually, if you want people to care about winning, you need to have amazing prices. The guys getting the most traffic give away computers, iPods and Nintendo Wii&#039;s. 

I guess you could get people to join your contest by giving away a book as well. I won a book about Steve Jobs a few years ago by entering a blog carnival. I was really happy, and the book was great.

The best thing is probably to start out with fairly cheap prizes, and when you get enough traffic and money, upgrade them.</description>
