How to Monetize Your Blog: Try Google AdSense

If you’re tired of not making too much money with your blog, then here’s what you need to do in order to monetize it better. Try Google AdSense program.

By now I assume you already heard about AdSense ; this program provides contextual advertising solutions to bloggers (and site owners). It delivers text-based Google AdWords ads that are relevant to site content pages.

Update – you can even show Video ads as Google added this option lately. I’m not sure if it’s for U.S. users only, but it’s a great option to look out for in the near future.

Everybody is using AdSense on their sites and blogs these days, so why should you be the only one not using it?

Confession time: I’m not personally using AdSense on this blog because I make more profits promoting other stuff like our own products :)

If you’re just starting online or you’re new to the blogosphere, then AdSense is the quickest and easiest program you can use to make money online.

Yes, AdSense is the perfect program for most newbies out there because you can add it on a site or blog which does not require you pay for hosting.

For example Google Page Creator and Blogger are both owned by Google, and you pay nothing for hosting these sites/pages on such services.

You can start for free and get extra income fast. While you won’t make a fortune overnight, you’ll definitely get to learn more about AdSense, and how to make money online with your blog.

If you’re a pro blogger, I suggest you use WordPress and sell your own stuff on the blog besides promoting affiliate products and services.

Google AdSense: Big Scam or Real Deal?

I’m a big believer in Google AdSense because I made money with it. A few hundreds so far, and I did not spend a penny on advertising, nor wasted any time doing active promotion. In fact, I only took advantage of the current (viral and growing) traffic to my sites and blogs.

That’s the beauty of making money on autopilot.

You get paid while you sleep.

But here’s the wake up call!

It does not happen overnight, nor without any time, effort and energy.

You have to work a few days, weeks and even months to grow a big site or blog which brings traffic on autopilot, while you’re outside with friends or taking care of your family.

Do that and you should make a few hundreds per month. It all depends on the traffic you get and how fast and good you could convert it into more clicks.

An autoresponder list is a gold mine of targeted traffic if you know how to use it the smart way.

Without an autoresponder, making real money with AdSense is not easy.

When you have an opt-in list, you could funnel that traffic to whatever site or blog page you want, and get more clicks from the same readers/visitors, over and over again.

That’s the difference between big boys and babies when it comes to marketing online and getting paid in real cash.

If you just want to generate $100 per month, you could probably do it without a list, yet you have to put in 10x times more effort, time and energy.

If you think AdSense is a scam, think again. It’s the real deal for those who recognize its potential and know how to drive VIRAL traffic at no cost.

Most AdSense users are not making more than a few bucks per month. Others are doing fine, $300-$500 per month, while a few are cashing-in thousands and even tens of thousands – per month.

Do you really think they’re using a secret tool or expensive marketing tactics?

Not at all. Most are using a simple, step by step system for getting traffic and converting it into clicks.

The same system applies whether you’re making money online with affiliate products or selling your own stuff. There’s nothing new under the sun. There are no real secrets, just the experience which you go through on a daily basis trying (hard and smart) to make it online.

Many newbies have the erroneous belief that if they work like a dog they can make more money. Unfortunately, harder doesn’t necessarily mean better. Keep this in mind, I can’t stress this enough.

Do You Use These Free Blog Monetization Strategies? Pro Bloggers Do

I am a BIG believer in using no-cost advertising and promotion methods. In fact, I’ve become so obsessed about free traffic-generating strategies that I’m playing with things such as blog commenting, forum promotion, and article publishing on a daily basis.

And I have great success with all of them. I’m not a genius, nor lucky. Yet I own a few key ingredients that most people lack (especially the Internet beginners and newbie bloggers)

I try to master the blogging game and practice it daily. It’s more than a sport.

It’s a real passion which I turned into a real business.

Traffic-generating is an art in itself – just like the art of making money (aka blog monetization)

Here’s a sad FACT: most bloggers are still looking for the magic button guaranteed to help them make a quick buck.

I can’t blame them because they’re not armed with the right mindset.

Things might get even worse though..

While newbies try hard fooling around with lousy money-making schemes and useless traffic-generating tactics(e.g. “guaranteed traffic”, “FFA advertising”, etc.) the pros are playing the game on another level.

It’s not that the pros are rich, or have two brains. They thing is that they play the blogging game by the same rules but with a different mindset (and on a different level).

Pro bloggers know it takes smart work, perseverance and testing to make BIG money blogging.

And mostly learned this by trial and errors, not from some book or training program.

That’s why learning from a pro is wise because you can cut the learning curve and you don’t have to buy new books or attend expensive seminars anymore.

If you are a newbie you probably want to start on a small level as you can’t compete with the big guys yet and you’re not having “their” mindset.

Plus, it’s always smart you start slow and use what you already have. That’s HOW most of the pros have started.

Did you know this?

*** the best Free Blog Monetization Strategy on the entire Internet is called AdSense. I can’t stress this enough.

I guess I’ll have to write more articles about this topic until I make you realize that no money-making strategy should be neglected, especially AdSense.

  1. Why would you want to leave money on the table?
  2. Would you be happy knowing that your competitors get paid by AdSense while you don’t?
  3. Would you feel safe with just one stream of ONLINE income?

I hope the answer is a loudly “NO”, or I’d have to wake you up! Just look around you..

Most of the blogging pros are getting multiple streams of income and the most exciting part is that they’re usingfree traffic strategies. Yeah, no AdWords whatsoever!

Case Study #1StevePavlina.com

StevePavlina.com was launched on Oct 1st, 2004.  By April 2005 it was averaging $4.12/day in income. Now it brings in over $200/day $1000/day (updated as of 10/29/06).  I didn’t spend a dime on marketing or promotion.

In fact, I started this site with just $9 to register the domain name, and everything was bootstrapped from there.Would you like to know how I did it?” – Click below for the full story:

Case Study #2 – AlexKing.org

“I’ve tried both Google AdSense and the Yahoo! Publisher Network for contextual ads. I even experimented for a while loading each half the time. Neither one was a major payday for me, but the basic results I’ve seen are:

* Yahoo! pays a little more.
* Google’s ads are more relevant.

I pretty much only use Google’s AdSense now because I prefer the relevance to the extra couple bucks.”

If you ask me, you won’t ever see a pro blogger get paid from just one program, or focus on paid advertising tactics.

Moreover, you won’t see pro bloggers use splogs or copy others blogs (or bloggers). Pro bloggers are remarkable in thereal sense of the word. At least those that I know and recommend.

In conclusion – most folks dream to get the end result (e.g. traffic and profits) yet they forget that before you reap the benefits (get the end result) you have to build a foundation. The end result is gathered when you worked the basis.

“You reap what you sew” is true, especially in this case, right?

Are Get Paid to Read E-mails Programs Dead?

What a great way to make some EXTRA money online. The system is called get paid to read e-mails. It’s as simple as it sounds.

There are a ton of companies offering such a service. Most are hype though and don’t send payments to their users or do nasty things. If you get to affiliate yourself with any of these companies you should expect to get paid a few cents each and every time you read an e-mail they send you.

This is the first money-making formula I tried when I started online. In fact, that’s why I started on this Internet venture because I’ve heard you could get paid by reading e-mails. It was a new and interesting concept back then.

Want to know how much I earned after following this system for 11 months?

A measly $9 bucks. Yup. This strategy is worse than AdSense or pay per post blogging.

Look, I’m not trying to bash these companies or the money-making model, but I want to open your eyes and make you consider an alternative to that. Whether it’s AdSense or pay per post blogging.

In order for you to succeed with get paid to read e-mails programs you have to join a ton of companies and make sure they’re trustee sites and pay on time. Plus, you have to own big lists or huge traffic blogs to refer other friends, contacts and leads. The more you refer, the more you make out of their earnings.

This is not something which I’d recommend and in my opinion this money-making model is dead for people who want to earn real money online. If you’re ok with $9/year (that’s the cost of a domain name), go ahead and give it a try.

You could get some experience in terms of marketing online and web promotion, or building a downline.

Using the knowledge acquired and this (new) skill would definitely help you later on to advance in this online world.

Remember – I started from ZERO, with the lowest paying activity and gone through almost everything from ezine advertising, promoting other people stuff as an affiliate (or reseller), and creating my own products.

I couldn’t get here if I did not learn some new skills, gathered new knowledge, implemented it and started from the bottom.

What’s your opinion about get paid to read e-mails programs, did you try this yourself, or would you like to do it now?
